Vol 2 February 2008
Just Fore Fun
In this edition of the Just Fore Fun section the Wachovia Championship has left the fun comments up to our patrons, ambassadors and sponsors. In an effort to make our tournament better for 2008 we reached out to individuals regarding their experiences with the Wachovia Championship over the first five years. People shared some great stories and below are a few comments we would like to share with our eNewletter readers. Enjoy!

Cart Committee
Jacquelyn DeShield, Cart Committee Volunteer:   I enjoy the Wachovia Championship and the excitement it brings to our city. This event gives me and many others an opportunity to extend great hospitality to people all over the world. We have a beautiful city with quality people and this is what is demonstrated. Everyone is professional and committed to their jobs. This makes the experience enjoyable. Everyone working together with smiles on their faces help to make this an extraordinary event.

Tournament Sponsor, Barbara Atkinson, Director of Marketing, Tyler 2 Construction, On what keeps their company coming back year after year as a sponsor:   The field of play. The Wachovia Championship draws a top flight field of golf professionals to the tournament. My observation is that the field of players is a reflection of the ambience and organization of the Wachovia Championship which is top flight as well. The location. Quail Hollow is a beautiful course and clubhouse. The organizers of the Wachovia Championship use the course to its best advantage in the set up of amenities for players, sponsors, and guests. The Staff. From the beginning in working with the sponsorship team to the closing day and saying good bye to the staff in our Chalet, we could not have been treated better. Quick response, attentive to details and each request was met with a “how can we make this happen” response.

Barry Edwards, Ticket Holder and veteran golf tournament patron:   I have traveled all over the US to different golf tournaments, the Wachovia is the best venue on tour, anything you might need or want is always just a few yards away, it is truly a great way to entertain customers for the day.
