  • Seven different players have won the Quail Hollow Championship—the longest streak for tournament formed in 2003.
  • The field at the Quail Hollow Championship in 2008 included 38 players who had won since the start of the 2008 season.
  • Sean O’Hair earned the 2009 title on the strength of his ball-striking skills. He was third in greens in regulation (75 percent), fifth in Total Driving (seventh in distance and 19th in accuracy) and second in ball-striking.
  • Did you know that Sean O’Hair did not make a putt longer than 10 feet all week during his road to victory at the Quail Hollow Championship? This shows how accurate he was with his iron play.
  • In 2009,  the strongest regular PGA Tour stops—in regards to points awarded the champion towards the Official World Golf Ranking--were the first two FedEx Cup playoff events (70 points each), with the BMW Championship in Chicago and the Quail Hollow Championship each awarding 68 points to the winner.
  • In 2006, Jay Haas, Bill Haas and Jay Haas, Jr. were in the field and it marked the first time a father and two sons were in a PGA TOUR tournament the same week since 1994 when Jack Nicklaus and two of his sons, Gary and Jackie, competed at Pebble Beach.
